Ricchiuti recognized for outstanding community service
Columbus, OH (November 19, 2015) – Doralice T. Rucchiuti received the Ohio State Bar Foundation’s Community Service Award for Attorneys 40 and Under for District 13 on Tuesday, Nov. 17.
Ricchiuti works for Manchester, Newman and Bennett in the Healthcare Law, Business Law, Estate Planning and Probate Law divisions. She specializes in corporate and health law.
For eight years, Ricchiuti has been a member of the board of directors for the Rich Center Study and Treatment of Autism. With this school, she volunteers for events and fundraisers. Ricchiuti completes all of the Rich Center’s legal work pro bono. Ricchiuti also serves on the Board of Golden Strings, which is an organization that benefits adults with disabilities. She teaches classes in legal ethics at Northeastern Ohio College of Medicine while advising physicians pro bono.
Ricchiuti is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Mahoning County Bar Association. She is also an active member of the American Health Lawyers Association.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from John Carroll University. She graduated, summa cum laude, in Biomedical Ethics from Duquesne University. Ricchiuti then earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Akron School of Law.
About the Award
The Community Service Award for Attorneys 40 and Under is presented to attorneys, 40 years of age or younger, who contribute substantial time and effort in service to a local social service or to a local civil, artistic or cultural organization. The service must be outside the recipients’ practice of law and given without compensation. Emphasis is placed on current service. Recipients represent the ideals of the legal profession and, by example, are a credit to the profession.
