Munger receives community service award from state bar foundation

Columbus, OH (October 15, 2015) – Katheryn L. Munger received the Ohio State Bar Foundation Community Service Award for Attorneys 40 and Under for District 5 on Monday, Oct. 12, at the Cardinal Center in Marengo, Ohio.

Munger works as an assistant prosecuting attorney for the Delaware County Prosecutor’s Office. She specializes in juvenile law and cases concerning abuse, neglect or dependency.

She participates in the Pleasure Guild Theater Group of Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The group performs an annual musical production to raise money for the Hospice and Palliative Care program. The Nationwide Children’s Hospital’s Hospice and Palliative Care program funds pediatric patients for which a cure cannot be acquired. Through this event, Munger and her fellow thespians raise about $200,000 each year for the program. The performers dedicate over 100 hours per production. Munger will also participate in the Delaware County Bar Association’s production, which raises money for the Delaware County Bar Foundation.

For her undergraduate degree in international studies, Munger attended The Ohio State University. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law in 2007.
