Ohio State Bar Foundation honors Tabitha D. Justice for community service

Columbus, OH (April 1, 2015) – Tabitha D. Justice will receive the Ohio State Bar Foundation’s Community Service Award for Attorneys 40 & Under for District 2 on Wednesday, April 1 at the Troy Country Club.

Justice is a partner in the firm of Subashi & Wildermuth where her legal experience includes a wide range of civil defense issues, including employment law, federal and state civil rights, administrative and constitutional law, and school liability issues. When not in the office, she donates her time to the Dayton MetroPark tree restoration program in response to the Emerald Ash Borer devastation. She also produces written will and power of attorney documents pro bono for police officers, firefighters and other first responders through the Dayton Bar Association’s Wills for Heroes program. “I do what I can because I can,” Justice says.

Justice is a Fellow of the Ohio State Bar Foundation, and a member of the American and Ohio State Bar Associations. She also serves as a board member for the Dayton Regional S.T.E.M. School.  In addition, she is a member of the Ohio Association of Civil Trial Attorneys, the Defense Research Institute and the Ohio Counsel of School Board Attorneys. As a 2012 graduate of the Ohio State Bar Association’s Leadership Academy, Justice was also named an Ohio “Rising Star” by SuperLawyers.com.

Justice received her Bachelors in Arts and Sciences from Ohio University and her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Dayton School of Law.

About the Award

The Community Service Award for Attorneys 40 and Under is presented to attorneys, 40 years of age or younger, who contribute substantial time and effort in service to a local social service or to a local civil, artistic or cultural organization.  The service must be outside the recipients’ practice of law and given without compensation.  Emphasis is placed on current service.  Recipients represent the ideals of the legal profession and, by example, are a credit to the profession.
