Chad N. Eckhardt recognized by Ohio State Bar Foundation for community service

Columbus, OH (April 1, 2015) – Chad N. Eckhardt received the Ohio State Bar Foundation’s Community Service Award for Attorneys 40 & Under for District 1 on Tuesday March 31 at the Hilton Netherland Plaza Hotel in Cincinnati.

As a managing associate in Frost Brown Todd’s regulated business group, Eckhardt advises businesses and health care entities in general corporate matters.  As a community advocate, however, he does pro bono work helping Cincinnati nonprofits, such as Beyond Civility, secure 501(c) (3) status.  Through presentations at the Cincinnati Public Library he also teaches others how to set up nonprofit entities and assists them in doing the proper compliance paperwork.  “As a former teacher, I still love to make connections between people and subject matter,” said Eckhardt. “As a lawyer, I can now teach the content that brings people and good works together for the benefit of others.”

His work with Volunteer Lawyers for the Poor, Junior Achievement, and the United Way’s Emerging Leaders Program reflect his community involvement. In addition, he is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association.

Eckhardt earned a B.A. in English and an M.A. in education from the University of Kentucky. He received his Juris Doctor from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University.
