Ohio State Bar Foundation honors Ashley L. Oliker for community service
Columbus, OH (April 1, 2015) – Ashley L. Oliker of Columbus will receive the Ohio State Bar Foundation’s Community Service Award for Attorneys 40 & Under for District 7 on Monday, April 6 at the Sheraton Columbus Hotel at Capitol Square.
As a senior associate in Frost Brown Todd’s business litigation group, Oliker represents clients in business and other civil litigation disputes in both state and federal court proceedings. When not in the office, she coaches middle and high school mock trial teams, and volunteers at the YWCA legal clinic. Last November, she helped to organize the first ever Public Service Mock Trial Competition for Ohio law students launched by Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine. “I only concentrate on moving others along with me whether I am working on a case or fulfilling a commitment to my community,” said Oliker. “When I find myself slipping away from what’s authentic, I get involved in someone else’s life. Then I am personally empowered to move my life along with meaning.”
In addition to her volunteer work, Oliker is a board member for Women Lawyers of Franklin County and a member of the Board of Governors for the Columbus Bar Association. She is also a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Women’s Bar Association and Columbus Young Professionals.
Oliker earned her B.A. magna cum laude from the University of Toledo and her J.D. cum laude from Case Western Reserve University School of Law.
